How you get picked up
We provide pickup and drop-off services anywhere in downtown Guangzhou. Please provide your pickup details when booking. We can also pick you up and drop you off at the railway station if you’re arriving or departing by train.
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall
Our adventure begins with your friendly local guide and driver picking you up at your Guangzhou hotel. We’ll spend a few minutes discussing the places you’d like to visit. The following is a sample itinerary, which can be fully customized to your interests.
First, we’ll visit the Chen Clan Temple/Ancestral Hall, a stunning Qing-Dynasty building featuring intricate wood, brick, stone, clay, and ivory carvings. Inside, you’ll find exquisite collections of silk embroidery, ceramics, and paintings, offering a glimpse into Lingnan culture, history, and customs.
Yuexiu Park
Next, we’ll head to Yuexiu Park, the largest park in Guangzhou, known for its lush greenery and historical relics. We’ll take a leisurely walk through the park, visiting the Five Ram Statue (a symbol of Guangzhou), the ancient Ming-Dynasty city wall, and the Sun Yat-sen Monument. This beautiful park is a perfect place to see locals enjoying their day.
Canton Tower
From there, we’ll move to the new Guangzhou area at Huacheng. Here, you’ll admire 21st-century skyscrapers like the Canton Tower, IFC buildings, Guangzhou Opera House, and Guangdong Museum. Depending on the weather, we might go up to the observation deck at Canton Tower for a fantastic bird’s-eye view of the city.
Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King
Our next stop is the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King. This fascinating site houses the 2,000-year-old tomb of Nanyue King Zhao Mo. You’ll learn about ancient history and culture through the museum’s impressive collection of artifacts.
Shamian Island
If time permits, we’ll continue to Shamian Island, a charming area with colonial-style mansions and architecture. This former British and French concession was once a bustling foreign trading center.
